"Remind Me What It's Like"
A Biker Poem by Blacksmith Ed
To have the wind in your hair, though my face has grown longer, more
wrinkled.....
To enjoy the sway, to and fro, as the steed of steel jettisoned us down
the concrete ribbon, passing cages left and right.
To have someone you loved tucked in behind you, whispering sweet
nothings in your ear as you fly.
Alone with your thoughts, only to be carried away in the Oh so familiar
drone you love so much.
Riding into the sunset, as day turns to coolness of night, knowing
leather will keep you warm.
As we may have forgotten. So please remind me.
Remind us of what makes us thrive...
In hopes we may ride once again.
